Ted Lasso’s Higgins star teases ‘stellar’ season three in latest filming update

A third season of Ted Lasso is currently in the works and AFC Richmond’s triumphant return to screens is expected at some point in 2023. With plot details for the Apple TV+ hit’s next season being kept under wraps, main cast member Jeremy Swift has spoken exclusively to Express.co.uk with an exciting update about the show’s production.

Actor Jeremy has promised the eagerly awaited third season of Ted Lasso will be well worth the wait once it finally hits screens.

Jeremy portrays Richmond’s Director of Operations alongside the likes of Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple.

Season two wrapped up over a year ago with a devastating outcome for the team after assistant coach Nate Shelley (played by Nick Mohammed) defected to West Ham.

There has still been no word on when exactly the third – and possibly final season – will appear, but Jeremy has assured fans they’re making good progress.

“It’s going very well,” he confirmed to Express.co.uk. “There’s just a lot of finessing.

“And there’s a lot of invention. It’s going to be a fantastic, stellar series.”

Once season two reached its conclusion last year, co-creator and series lead Jason went on the record to suggest Ted Lasso’s third outing would probably be its last.

However, the show’s expiration date isn’t set in stone just yet, and its popularity could convince Apple producers and the cast to return for more.

“I know you’ll probably ask if it’s the last one. Nobody knows that!” Jeremy admitted.

“Literally everybody asks it, and I think the only person who can give an answer is Jason. And I don’t think even he knows.”

Despite the uncertainty, fans can look forward to cheering on Richmond for at least a few more games, which will likely culminate in their epic showdown against West Ham.

For now, though, Jason and the team are still trying to piece together the next episodes, which may very well bring Ted’s adventures in the UK to an emotional conclusion.

“There’s so much great stuff in there,” Jeremy teased.

“Because of the improv nature of a lot of Jason’s earlier work, I think he feels things are precious when they’re just thought of.”

The actor revealed Jason has been playing fast and loose with the scripts this time around, which could mean production has been taking slightly longer than usual.

“So, quite often, particularly on this season, I haven’t bothered learning the scenes until I get in the car on the day we’re shooting them,” Jeremy added.

“Because they’ve changed completely! And I’ll look at them on my iPad in the car and learn them there, and usually laugh my head off. It’s fresh and funny.

“But even then, when we’re on the set, he’ll walk over and give us new lines. So it’s always very fresh and fantastically fun.”

Now it’s been over a year since the last episode was released, millions of fans will naturally be getting restless for more updates on the hit series’ return.

Unfortunately, they will just have to sit tight for the time being, and hopefully some more concrete answers about season three will emerge in the new year.

Yellowstone fans confirm ‘best’ villain ever as new data emerges – and it’s not Caroline

With season five of Yellowstone currently underway on the Paramount Network and Paramount+, John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) is currently facing off against Caroline Warner (Jacki Weaver) and her multi-billion company, Market Equities. The new Governor of Montana is doing all he can to stop Caroline and her company from taking over his homeland and destroying his family’s legacy, but it’s a lot easier said than done. But is Caroline fans’ favourite ever antagonist to grace the series? Readers have had their say.

Caroline isn’t the only person to have proven to be a thorn in the side of John and the rest of the Dutton clan.

They’ve had enemies from all angles and walks of life to contend with before, from the Beck brothers to local millionaire Dan Jenkins (Danny Huston).

What’s ensued is often violent and bloody consequences for those who cross the Duttons thanks to John’s loyal enforcers Rip (Cole Hauser), Kayce (Luke Grimes) and the rest of the bunkhouse.

Fans have loved to hate a number of the show’s villains but thanks to a poll by Express.co.uk, it’s one-half of the aforementioned Beck brothers who proved the most popular.

Out of 844 readers who were asked which Yellowstone villain was their favourite, Malcolm Beck (Neal McDonough) came out on top.

He earned 221 votes, equating to 26 percent of the overall votes.

While Malcolm may have topped the poll, his accolade as the best series villain was hotly contested.

Dan Jenkins was close behind among readers with 195 votes, equal to 23 percent of the results.

And the two characters were followed closely by season three antagonist Roarke (Josh Holloway).

Roarke was Market Equities’ own enforcer, using underhand and often brutal tactics to try and oust the Duttons from their land.

He racked up 165 votes from readers, meaning he earned 20 percent of the overall votes.

These three villains stood head and shoulders above the other characters included in the voting too.

Caroline Warner only managed to bag 75 votes from readers, resulting in an underwhelming nine percent of those placed.

While Jamie Dutton’s (Wes Bentley) biological father and enemy to the Duttons Garrett Randall (Will Patton) almost mirrored her reception with 72 votes (nine percent).

Other entries managed to earn 116 votes and 14 percent of the votes.

With Caroline clearly underwhelming in regards to providing opposition to John, could bosses take note of fans’ thoughts by introducing a new enemy in the future?

Season five has already seen the introduction of Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri) who’ll assist Caroline and go head-to-head with Beth (Kelly Reilly).

Plus Angela Blue Thunder (Q’orianka Kilcher) and Martin Kills Many (Christian Wassana) have turned on John’s frenemy Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) so maybe their worlds will intertwine to give John a new challenge.

Fans will have to tune into Yellowstone each week to see if John will be able to overcome Market Equities and face a fresh enemy soon.

Below Deck Adventure’s Kerry Titheradge shares ‘concern’ over co-star’s painful injury

Captain Kerry Titheradge is the latest Below Deck skipper to steer the show’s luxury yachts into chaos on Bravo’s internationally successful reality show franchise. In the brand new spin-off, Below Deck Adventure, Kerry heads up the Mercury’s charters along the Fjords of Norway and often has to step in to ensure his crew remain safe.

The Below Deck captain has revealed one of the biggest concerns he had about his crew during Adventure’s first season.

In a teaser trailer for the upcoming charter, deckhand Nathan Morley appears to be suffering from a mysterious injury.

Kerry has now revealed Nathan sustained the injury by falling down the stairs, in what must have been one of the most stressful moments of the new series.

“There is a build-up to that moment,” the Below Deck star shared.

“I was obviously concerned about Nathan and the injury in front of me. I was at the base of the steps when it happened.

“I was having a cup of tea when he came flying down the steps. I was also very concerned that we would be a guy down.”

The captain wouldn’t confirm whether or not Nathan’s injury meant he would have to sit out the rest of the series.

Hopefully, the deckhand was able to walk the accident off, as the rest of the trailer doesn’t seem to confirm any major medical attention.

Thankfully, even if Nathan did have to sit out some of his duties, Kerry had plenty of help on board to keep things running smoothly.

“For the situation, we were in and the places we were at, I had to post people on extra duties,” he explained to TV Insider.

“Because we were in an environment where very quickly you can go from being in the Garden of Eden to Hades as far as the weather.

“It took a lot to keep people on their toes because when you are in a beautiful place, you tend to put your guard down and relax.”

Nathan has already had a nasty run-in with fellow deckhand Kyle Dickard, who threatened him earlier in the season.

His behaviour sparked considerable backlash amongst the show’s fans, and he was ultimately let go after just three episodes.

Thankfully, Kerry has been praised for running his ship with a firm hand, and quickly dismissed Kyle after just three episodes.

“I understand people will have issues, but the guests shouldn’t see it,” he said of his approach to rows on board.

“If you need time to yourself, come to me. I’ll get you off the boat.”

“Go for a walk. Take the tender out. Do what you have to cool off. Take a cabin away from everyone. A place of peace.

“The way I deal with things mate is when I need to destress or rethink a problem, I’ll meditate. I think everyone should have that place to calm down and relax.”

Despite Kerry’s cool head, fans should expect plenty of surprises from yet another team of unruly deckhands as Below Deck Adventure sets course for more drama over the coming weeks.

Virgin River’s fans ‘work out’ major season 5 death as new evidence emerges

The fifth season of Virgin River has finally wrapped filming with the Netflix series expected to return in the next few months. As such, the fandom has been coming up with their ideas of what lies ahead for Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge), Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) and the rest of the town. Now, thanks to an exclusive poll by Express.co.uk, many feel they’ve worked out who could be the next character to bow out of the show.

Virgin River is no stranger to a heartbreaking exit or two during its four-season run on Netflix so far.

From Lilly’s (Lynda Boyd) devastating farewell to Calvin (David Cubitt) meeting his demise in explosive circumstances, the past few years have seen plenty of exits.

But which Virgin River character could end up packing their bags in season five, or even meet a more deadly end?

According to Virgin River fans, there’s one man who’s more likely than most to meet his maker in the fifth season.

Express.co.uk asked readers who they felt was most likely to die or exit Virgin River in season five.

Out of 1,977 responses, the character who came out on top was the villainous Vince (Steve Bacic).

A staggering 588 people (30 percent) who entered the poll think the menacing character will make his exit after his bone-crushing confrontation with Preacher (Colin Lawrence) in the season four finale.

However, he’s not the only man readers think could bow out of the series as he’s closely followed by Dr Cameron Hayek (Mark Ghanime).

Cameron was just behind Vince in the poll with 387 readers thinking he will leave, equal to 20 percent of those who voted.

Elsewhere, Denny Cutler (Kai Bradbury) was another name tipped to leave, although only 273 readers (14 percent) think he’ll depart.

He’s closely followed by Paige Lassiter (Lexa Doig) who already made a brief exit from the series before returning in season four.

261 readers think Paige will make a permanent exit in season five, which equates to 13 percent of the votes.

While unlikely, a few fans also think Hope McCrea (Annette O’Toole) could also bid farewell, earning 121 votes (six percent).

Meanwhile, 347 opted for other characters to leave the show in the fifth run.

But will fans’ predictions come to fruition? They’ll have to wait until season five rolls around to find out for sure.

In the meantime, Virgin River’s stars have been sharing snaps from their final days on the set of the Netflix drama, sending excitement levels sky-high for the new series.

And one star who has got everyone talking is Lauren Hammersley, the actor behind Charmaine Roberts.

She appears to have dropped an almighty spoiler that Charmaine will still be pregnant by the time season five ends.

“THATS A WRAP!” Hammersley penned alongside a snap of her cradling Charmaine’s baby bump.

“It’s my 5th year of pregnancy and I don’t know what everyone is complaining about.” (sic)

Embarrassing reality of Rebecca Judd’s glam Instagram photoshoots revealed

Rebecca Judd has been left red-faced after footage of the AFL WAG’s young daughter taking photos of the influencer for Instagram went viral.

Rebecca 39, recently uploaded a photo of herself modelling a designer jumpsuit at the beach while holidaying with her family in Western Australia.

‘Those Kimberley colours! Wearing Alice McCall. #Gift,’ the socialite captioned the sponsored post.

Instagram ‘snark’ account, Influencer Updates, has since uploaded a candid video taken by an onlooker that revealed it was actually Bec’s daughter Billie, eight, who took the photo.

In the clip Billie can be seen taking snaps of Bec’s using her mum’s iPhone before walking over to hand her phone back.

Bec then carefully reviews the photos, while Billie cheerfully can be seen keeping herself entertained.

Fans were understandably surprised by the revelation, as many expected Rebecca would have her own professional photographer to help create her sponsored content.

‘Why did this make me cringe so hard?’ one person commented underneath the post, while another wrote: ‘This is really sad’

‘Gotta do whatcha gotta do to get the money shot,’ another mused.

Some users however defended Bec for getting her child involved in her work, with one writing: ‘She makes bank for it and supports her kids with that money, good on the kids for helping her do it.’

    Others praised Billie’s photography skills.

‘Wow, she did a great job,’ one commented, while another wrote: ‘Hey, her girl is talented at getting the shots.’

It comes after Judd announced that she will be providing ‘exclusive content’ to her Instagram subscribers for $7.49 a month.

And while her fans were delighted, the news was not met with approval across the board.

Many criticised the football WAG for charging for content – while others were confused as to whether she had joined adult platform Onlyfans.

‘With all that money and fame, you would think she could do some good like help the homeless for example,’ wrote one person on social media.

‘Has she signed up to Onlyfans?’ joked another, while someone else chimed in, ‘Isn’t that called… Onlyfans’.

‘Jesus Christ, yeah cos we’re all dying to know, just soooo exclusive. Rather pay $7.50 for a jar of air,’ said another person.

‘Ugh she’s so annoying, she hasn’t been a WAG for seven years, and I pity the fools who pay $7.49 to a woman who lives in a $7.3m home,’ another wrote.

‘Stupid enough to pay, stupid enough to throw money away. I just don’t understand why people pay for this s**t,’ said someone else.

‘It’s your own stupid fault if you wanna subscribe to this ridiculous type of self advertising,’ one more person commented.

Rebecca lives in a $7.3million mansion in Brighton, Melbourne, with Chris, and their four children, Oscar, Billie, Tom and Darcy.

EMILY PRESCOTT: The only way is Tatler… as society bible hires TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, queen of huns

It’s quite a step from being a second-hand car dealer in The Only Way Is Essex to gracing the glossy pages of society magazine Tatler – but if anyone can pull it off, Gemma Collins can.

I can reveal that the quintessential Essex girl, who refers to herself as The GC and has appeared in other reality television programmes including Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice, is to write a piece about ‘hun culture’.

Sources tell me that some well-heeled staff at Tatler were rather surprised to learn that the 41-year-old had been commissioned to write about the phenomenon, which refers to the trend of female celebrities, mostly pop stars, behaving in a way their fans can relate to – a sort of lad culture for girls.

GQ magazine defines it as ‘drinking a gin out of one of those giant goblet glasses while your Friday-night takeaway is delivered (because ‘the diet starts on Monday!’). It’s popping to the corner shop with your rollers in.’

Gemma even used the term ‘hun’ while offering Theresa May advice on how to handle Brexit. Speaking on Good Morning Britain in 2019, she told the then Prime Minister: ‘If you need some help, hun, I’m free for an hour after the show.’

A source tells me: ‘You literally could not have two more polar opposites. You’ve got posh Tatler and then Gemma from Romford – though both she and the magazine’s bosses are absolutely thrilled.’

Hiring Gemma is simply the latest example of how Tatler is revamping its content to reflect the influence of a new breed of social high-flyer.

In the magazine’s Little Black Book of society’s most eligible men and women, which came out last month, straw-boatered viscounts and girls in cashmere have been replaced with sportsmen and television stars who represent the new aristocracy.

Its most eligible young woman of the year is Love Island star Gemma Owen, 19 – daughter of former England footballer Michael Owen. Her male counterpart is Mason Mount, 23, who plays for Chelsea and was in the England team that drew against the US in Friday’s World Cup game.

EMILY PRESCOTT: Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s business crown slips

He is married to a Princess, but is Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi losing control of part of his business kingdom?

I only ask because Companies House documents reveal that Radstock House Ltd, owned by Edo’s property development company Banda, has just received notice of compulsory strike off, meaning it could be taken off the register or closed.

It was issued due to accounts not being filed.

Inside sources assure me there is ‘nothing sinister’, but financial statements show Edo’s group lost £1.2 million between 2019 and 2020.

With Edo and Beatrice heading soon into a £3.5 million Cotswolds mansion, let’s hope property headaches don’t go on any longer than moving-in day.

Geri Horner has finally won planning permission for a barn to house 14 horses on her country estate – though her neighbours will not be impressed.

The erstwhile Ginger Spice and her husband, F1 boss Christian Horner, started building the barn without securing permission, causing quite the rumpus in her quaint Oxfordshire village.

Residents even accused Geri, 50, of blocking mobile phone signals with her project and one letter of objection said: ‘The barn is hideous, totally destroys the landscape and views.’

Hardly the way to endear yourself to the neighbourhood, Geri…

Showbiz Ted Lasso’s Higgins star teases ‘stellar’ season three in latest filming update
