The weather presenter has seen lots of comings and goings on the show, including the departure in May of host DanWalker after a six-year stint. Scots-born Carol admitted: “I try not to worry about things that I can’t change. I don’t want to go but one day it’s going to happen.

“Hopefully, it will be naturally – but I also have to acknowledge that I’m 60 and am unlikely to be at the BBC when I’m 70. It’s the course of events.”

But she does not forecast that she will be moving on, or “not yet”.

Carol, who first gave weather reports on BBC in 1998, added: “One day, yes. I don’t want to be using a stairlift to get to the studio in the morning. But I love my job.”

She became engaged in May to a mystery man known only as Steve – having split from her husband Jimmy Kirkwood, a former hockey player, in 2008 after 18 years.

But Carol has so far not named a wedding day, adding: “We’re not galloping towards it. It’s nice, as the first time I got married I was young.

“You get engaged, and you’re involved in the wedding almost from then. This time there is no pressure – it’s not like we’re going to rush off and have children.

“It’s nice to enjoy it and do it at our own pace.”

Carol said of her new fiance: “He’s funny, he makes me laugh, he’s very kind and caring and he’s romantic.

“I get up at 2.45am and he will get up, make me tea and put my cereal in a bowl for me to take to work.

“These small gestures are more important to me than anything grand – and they now happen on a daily basis.”

Carol took part in the 13th series of BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2015, and was the sixth to be voted off.

But the Countryfile TV star and broadcaster can’t wait to swap farmwear for frocks on the BBC dance show – just eight months after giving birth. Helen, 39 – tipped 6/1 second favourite to win behind singer Fleur East at 7/2 – admitted yesterday: “I just wanted to wear nice dresses. I work on farms. I watch cows give birth and stand in wellies.”

“I can’t decide whether it’s the best or worst thing I have ever agreed to. And I haven’t even started yet.

“I can’t dance and I feel sick when I hear the theme tune.

“Literally, I agreed a few days ago. They ask me, can I dance? And I say, ‘No…isn’t the point to go on it to learn to dance?’.”

But Helen, whose eight-year marriage to Leeds Rhinos rugby player Richie Myler ended in April, is confident she can juggle being a mum to Ernie, seven, Louis, five, and baby Elsie with Strictly’s tough regime.

She said: “Any mum who gets a chance to go work and have their make-up done, their tea made and they learn something fun – that’s a gift, isn’t it.”

The other Strictly hopefuls include Fleur, 34, EastEnders’ James Bye, 38, actress/comic Ellie Taylor, 38, singer Matt Goss, 53, radio’s Tyler West, 26, ex-England footballer Tony Adams, 55, and singer and CBBC star Molly Rainford, 21.

Completing the line-up are Paralympic swimmer Ellie Simmonds, 27, comedian Jayde Adams, 37, 46-year-old Corrie stars Will Mellor and Kym Marsh, Loose Women’s Kaye Adams, 59, radio and TV’s Richie Anderson, 34, and wildlife cameraman and host Hamza Yassin, 32.

The launch show is due to be recorded on September 7.

Priyanka Chopra shared snaps of her daughter Malti from her family-focused Sunday.

The 40-year-old actress took to her Instagram story to give her more than 81 million followers a glimpse at her baby girl.

In the first photo she shared, Malti was staring down at a book which her doting mother was reading to her.

Chopra wrote, ‘Sundays are for reading!’ on the photo in green lettering.

Her next picture showed her infant laying on her back and staring up at the mobile hanging above her.

She covered her little one’s face with a white heart emoji though the faces of her three dogs laying next to the child were clearly visible.

She captioned it, ‘Thank you chummu masi @chickyp85.’

The picture isn’t the first the star has shared of her daughter this week. Priyanka stood with Nick Jonas and held the little girl in her arms while out on vacation.

Chopra and her now-husband, 29, began seeing each other in 2018. The happy couple subsequently became engaged in July of that year.

They later revealed that they had brought Malti Marie into their lives via surrogate this past January.

An insider subsequently spoke to Us Weekly and expressed that Chopra and Jonas were enjoying their newfound status as caregivers.

The source stated: ‘They’re making it work as new parents as best as they can. They’ve always loved each other but seeing each other become new parents is special to both of them.’

They added: ‘Priyanka comes from a big family, so she’s overwhelmed with joy and love. Nick’s side too — his brothers are glad he now has a child so the cousins can be close in age.’

The cast of Virgin River has returned to filming as fans eagerly await the answers to some of season four’s tantalising cliffhangers. While the future of Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan’s (Martin Henderson) family plans following a bombshell dropped by his ex Charmaine Roberts (Lauren Hammersley) remain a much-talked-about plot point, there are still plenty of questions to be answered regarding Hope McCrea’s (Annette O’Toole) future.

Throughout season four of Virgin River, Hope struggled with her traumatic brain injury after sustaining horror injuries from a car crash in season three.

Hope became susceptible to mood swings, a lack of confidence and a shorter temper when it came to help from her other half, Doc (Tim Matheson).

But as season four came to a close, Hope put her pride aside and looked toward the future, offering youngster Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale) a full-time job to help care for her.

Hope’s caring side also began to rear its head as she promised to be there for Lydie (Christina Jastrzembska) who’ll undoubtedly struggle with the exit of her grandson Ricky (Grayson Maxwell Gurnsey) who’s joined the Marines.

And with the future looking up for the star, actor O’Toole shared a heartwarming update from the set of Virgin River recently.

Taking to Instagram, O’Toole paid tribute to her cast mates Dugdale, Muriel star Teryl Rothery, Jo Ellen’s Gwynyth Walsh, Connie actor Nicola Cavendish and Jastrzembska as they posed for a snap in between takes.

O’Toole simply captioned the smiley photo, with the show’s jaw-dropping mountainous landscape behind them, with: “Such a wonderful day with these women.”

And it didn’t take long for fans of the show and O’Toole to share their own sweet reactions – including a number of her cast mates.

Dugdale reciprocated O’Toole’s kind words as she replied: “Such a dream working with you ladies!”

Season three newcomer Kai Bradbury, who plays Doc’s grandson Denny, echoed: “Legends only,” followed by a love heart emoji.

And Brie Sheridan star Zibby Allen also paid tribute to the stars, simply replying: “The best,” again followed by a love heart emoji.

Fans had similar reactions, with @gunterquinn adding: “Love the ‘sewing/knitting group’ and their friendship.”

While @anglita.hila praised: “You are wonderful! Your positive energy is in the air..”

O’Toole did her best not to give away any spoilers in the snap but it does confirm the ladies will all be back for season five.

And she isn’t the only star to spark excitement among the Virgin River fandom with updates on how season five is going.

On July 28, Benjamin Hollingsworth gave fans their first preview of Brady from the fifth season as he marked the first day of filming.

On board a motorbike, Hollingsworth donned Brady’s signature bad boy style, complete with leather jack and aviator sunglasses.

Now a free man having been cleared for the attempted murder of Jack, things for Brady should be on the up.

However, his dark past could come back to haunt him as he remains embroiled in the drug peddling business – but will he be able to turn a page for good in season five?

Emmerdale newcomer Dan Spencer (player by Liam Fox) certainly made his mark when he arrived in the village and was quick to get on the wrong side of Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley). Dan ended up having a fling with the mechanic’s mother (Sally Dexter) and it’s safe to say the Dingle favourite wasn’t amused. However, speaking in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Liam addressed his future on the soap as he opened up about his new Channel 5 project.

The Dan Spencer star has teamed up with his Emmerdale colleague and friend Dean Andrews, who plays Will Taylor in the ITV soap.

The new programme titled Our Great Yorkshire Life sees the actors exploring the countryside and what the Dales has to offer.

They also took part in a number of different activities including caving and kayaking.

However, according to Liam, not everything went to plan while filming.

Speaking about his new presenting role, the soap star admitted, while he has no plans to leave Emmerdale, he would love to do more if ITV bosses allow it.

“I’d love to do more presenting, more stuff with Dean and more stuff on my own,” he began.

“I love Emmerdale to bits, and I am certainly happy at Emmerdale until the end of time, but it’s nice doing other stuff as it keeps the old grey matter going.

“I’ve got actually got a podcast about ghosts and UFOs as well. So, I’m used to being a bit daft.”

Liam went on to recall some of the activities they took part in while filming, admitting he is “scared of everything”.

“I’m a bit of a wet lettuce me, scared of the dark and scared of my own shadow,” the 52-year-old when referring to the caving task.

Although, there was one adventure Dean had to do on his own because Liam can’t swim.

“It was funny because I can’t swim,” he laughed, “So, Deano did the kayaking and I’m watching him from the sides, making sure that he’s alright.

“I think it’s more humorous than anything because I’m just sat around waiting for him while he’s going down this little shallow river.

“It was quite entertaining what happens there as well. That was quite funny.”

“When asked about any accidents while filming,” the actor added: “Not as such, Dean slipped a bit going down in the caves, but he was alright. T

“There might be a slight accident with Dean in the kayaks, that will be interesting to watch.

“I don’t think he found it funny, but it made me laugh.

“I hope they’ve kept it all but [he had] a little tumble shall we say.”

Liam’s current storyline centres around his onscreen daughter, Amelia (Daisy Campbell).

The teenager recently discovered she was pregnant with Noah’s (Jack Downham) baby, and the only person she has confided in is, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).

The Day of Indulgence is an annual, exclusive all-female party put together and hosted by Hollywood producer, Jennifer Klein, at her lavish Los Angeles home.

She invites a number of her celebrity friends, and other stars such as Tyra Banks and Mindy Kaling are in attendance this year.

Keke had been busy with her most recent horror film, Nope, directed by Jordan Peele.

The actress discussed the movie during an interview on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

‘You know, what Jordan does with his films is, the horror is really a metaphor for the horrors of the world,’ she explained.

Jordan also had only positive words to say about Keke in an interview with Glamour. He expanded how her career continues to take off and how her talent is always improving.

‘She’s gotten so much brighter and so much more in control of her instrument, and that’s paired with this relentless drive that matches any working actor today,’ he stated.

Keke opened up about the industry and how she started her acting career when she was a child during an interview on the Today show.

The star explained how her family has always been there for her during the ups and downs of working in Hollywood. ‘My family, they have been such a great support system for me,’ the Lightyear actress explained.

‘And my mom specifically, you know, she and I both were always on this road together.’
