I’m A Celebrity’s Chris Moyles hugs Boy George as he reunites with campmates

Chris Moyles reunited with his former campmates as he returned to luxury after his stint in the jungle.

The radio DJ, 48, became the sixth star to be voted off I’m A Celebrity during Thursday’s episode after admitting he was ‘ready’ to leave.

He received a hero’s welcome from his friends and loved ones, who gathered in the hotel lobby to see him once he arrived at the Marriott hotel.

Chris beamed broadly as he strolled through the hotel lobby before being welcomed by former campmate Boy George, with the pair embracing.

The Radio X presenter was also seen catching up with Charlene White, Scarlette Douglas, Sue Cleaver and Babatúndé Aléshé.

Despite Chris admitting he had his ups and downs with Matt Hancock in the jungle, the MP’s girlfriend Gina Coladangelo came down to greet him in good spirits.

The former campmates looked in good spirits as they caught up in the hotel lobby as a group, after Boy George missed out on joining the welcome party the day before when Babatúndé was evicted.

An onlooker told MailOnline: ‘George was the only celebrity not to greet Baba after he was voted out the jungle on Thursday morning, local time.

‘It was disappointing because he’s still a part of the cast and was a huge character in camp, it didn’t go unnoticed that he wasn’t there.

‘Everyone else is able to be a good sport but he just seems to have washed his hands with it now.’

A source close to George went onto add: ‘He was busy filming social media content for the show that they require and was following their schedule.

‘He was then rushed into makeup ahead of doing an interview, he didn’t purposefully miss Baba’s return.’

Baba lasted a day longer than George and was the fifth celebrity to be voted out.

Asked by a fan: ‘What was your biggest craving while in the jungle?’, George responded: ‘My biggest craving in the jungle was freedom, was not being told what to do.’

Yet it was Chris’ time to shine on Thursday when he became the sixth campmate to be voted off this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The radio DJ was named in the bottom two of the public vote by show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly with comedian Seann Walsh.

Taking a seat for his exit interview, Chris said: ‘I just said this morning in the Bush Telegraph, “I’ve got this now, I’d really like to stay,” before adding: ‘I’m gutted Matt Hancock is more popular than me!’

Former Health Secretary Matt made the controversial decision to appear on the jungle survival series this year.

Speaking about the West Suffolk MP, Chris said: ‘I really struggled with it to be fair, I slagged him a bit. I separated Matt Hancock from Matt.

‘We had to live with him and he was winning the stars and getting us food.

‘Matt Hancock, I’ve got massive issues with, but Matt I’ve got less issues with.’

Chris said he felt like a ‘competition winner’ going into camp, adding: ‘I never got over the surrealness of it all. I’d often be the last one go to bed and I’d go to the dunny and I’d look back and I’d go, “Wow!'”‘

He added: ‘It’s such a privilege to be able to do it… To be a part of this is a real honour. I know I won’t appreciate it until I’m out.’

The broadcaster struggled to successfully compete in the trials, at one point only managing to win one star for camp, meaning the group had one meal to share between them at a point when there was 11 people residing in camp.

He explained: ‘I’m an anxious scared man who is really comfortable in a radio studio. I’m not cut out for this life.’

Chris burst into tears as his girlfriend Tiffany Austin ran to greet him after he crossed the bridge out of camp as flares were set off and confetti was fired into the air.

Chris’s departure prompted a mixed reaction from the viewing public, with some taking to Twitter to say they were sorry to see him go, while others thought it was the right time.

Offering their congratulations to the star, one viewer tweeted: ‘Hugggge well done Chris! Gutted you’re out but love ya loads!!’

Another fan posted: ‘@ChrisMoyles you smashed it mate wish you had done [final trial] Cyclone we have loved watching you all the way #TeamMoyles baby.’

‘Sad to see Chris Moyles go, was in my top 3,’ wrote another home audience member.

While someone else shared: ‘Sooooo sad to see @ChrisMoyles leave the jungle. He was my winner all the way #teamMoyles #ImACelebrity.’

‘Great job Chris, sad you’re out, but great to see you so happy!,’ posted another viewer.

Pleased that Chris has voiced his opinion on Matt, one viewer wrote: ‘Fair play to you Chris Moyles for speaking out tonight about @matthancock what a joke!’

Looking forward to him returning to his Radio X show, someone else wrote: ‘Chris Moyles is brilliant. I am glad he is still reminding everyone about the ridiculousness of Matt Hancock in the jungle. Can’t wait to hear him on air again.’

However, an unimpressed viewer tweeted: ‘He had to go as he is the most boring person I have ever seen on TV!’

While someone else wrote: ‘It was a wake-up call for Chris Moyles. He was absolutely rubbish in the jungle. He may not like Matt Hancock, but “Matt” was so much better than him. In fact, all the others were better than him.’

While someone else shared: ‘Brilliant, was definitely his time to go. He did nothing but moan and whine with Boy George and Sue.’

‘Chris Moyles has left the jungle. You really ain’t as funny as you like to think you are,’ wrote another viewer.

An amused viewer wrote: ‘Matt Hancock more popular than Charlene White, Boy George, Chris Moyles, Sue Cleaver.’

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! continues on Friday at 9.15pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Steph McGovern’s health issue stopping her doing I’m A Celebrity as she fears TV nightmare

Steph McGovern has opened up about the health reason stopping her from taking part on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. The 40-year-old suffers from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and has done since she was young.

The presenter said she wouldn’t be afraid to eat things on the show, but would be concerned about how her body would react.

She said: “I’m not scared about eating things.

“My main worry is about how my body would react.

“You see, I’m the type of person who gets a small bite and then my whole leg swells up.

“I’ve also got IBS too so I’d be scared that if I ate something that disagreed with me I’d probably end up [bleep]ing myself on TV,” she added to Entertainment Daily.

With this she said, it’s not “mentally” how she’d deal with being in the jungle, but “more physically” how her body would cope.

IBS is a common condition that affects the digestive system and can causes symptoms like stomach cramps, bloating and diarrhoea.

Steph has previously said the health issue often caused her to experience severe bloating which at times was mistaken for pregnancy.

Back in September, Steph returned to her show after a summer break and was noticeably slimmer.

The presenter later explained she had made a change to her diet to improve her gut health and the pounds inevitably dropped off.

After meeting wellness coach Dr Julia Jones, she adopted habits that overhauled her health while dropping two dress sizes in the process.

Julia introduced her to the ‘Smart Wellness’ plan which Steph said “totally transformed” her life.

She added: “Now my IBS is in total control and I very rarely now have any problems. But also I’ve just got better wellness in its entirety.”

Steph also said taking a probiotic called Symprove, intermittent fasting midweek and being introduced to more gut-friendly foods helped with her condition.

“Suddenly, I realised I’d lost my bloated belly, which was amazing.

People would ask me all the time whether I was pregnant because I had this swollen stomach and now it’s gone.” she added to The Mirror.

Steph welcomed her first baby, a daughter whose name is unknown, back in 2019.

The presenter prefers to keep her family life out of the public so little is known about her baby and partner.

Back in May, she said it’s unlikely she’ll have anymore children.

Steph’s Packed Lunch airs weekdays from 12.30pm on Channel 4.

Piers Morgan confronts I’m A Celeb’s Matt Hancock at airport ‘Giving him a good kicking’

Matt Hancock, 44, finished in third place in the latest series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The West Suffolk MP was confronted by Piers Morgan, 57, when the show contestant landed back in the UK following his stint in the jungle.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter took to Twitter yesterday and told fans he had an “awkward” encounter with the reality TV star after he spotted him at Heathrow airport.

Matt was reunited with his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo following his three-week stint in Australia but she arrived back in the UK without the MP.

It comes after it was reported the MP had work duties Down Under.

Piers, who has been critical of Matt’s jungle appearance, said he told the politician he would have given him a “good kicking”.

In view of his 8.2 million followers, the Uncensored host tweeted: “Just bumped into Matt Hancock at Heathrow.

“I told him I’d been giving him a good kicking the entire time he was in the jungle. He said he knew.

“It was the purest personification of #Awks.”

Matt’s long-awaited return to England follows the former health secretary coming third during I’m A Celebrity’s live final on Sunday night.

It comes after Jill Scott was crowned the show winner with Owen Warner coming in second place.

Gina jetted out of Australia on Tuesday and returned to the UK solo but the independent MP remained Down Under to cash in on his new found fame with a lucrative interview.

Matt will appear in tonight’s upcoming I’m A Celebrity homecoming special.

His girlfriend admits the MP underestimated the strong reaction his stint in the jungle would have.

She told the ITV cameras: “I think it’s fair to say that Matt underestimated the scale of the reaction to him coming into the jungle.

“He’s made of tough stuff, this summer we trekked around Mont Blanc together in 4 days.

“My last words to him were ‘Just be yourself, be the Matt I know and it’ll go really well.’”

Meanwhile, the former health secretary was paid £45,000 for taking part in Channel 4 reality show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The fee – revealed on the register of MPs’ financial interests – is a fraction of the £400,000 he is reported to have got for ITV’s I’m A Celebrity.

According to reports, Matt filmed the Channel 4 show before flying out to the Australian jungle, but it will be screened next year.

He will have to reveal his ITV fee in a future edition of the register.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! The Coming Out Show airs tonight at 9.15pm on ITV1 and ITV Hub.

Helen Skelton admits Strictly has been ‘rollercoaster of emotions’ after husband split

The Countryfile star, 39, joined the popular BBC show after a difficult period in which she and her husband Richie Myler split up. Partnered with Gorka Márquez, Helen opened up during last week’s show about how Strictly Come Dancing has transformed her into “a different person” before the presenter detailed this week the impact the competition has had on her.

A VT shown on Strictly ahead of Helen and Gorka’s performance saw her getting emotional as she explained to Gorka how she has faced a tough few months.

The mum-of-three during an emotional told her dance partner: “I definitely am a different person from when we started and for me, what has been…”

Helen trailed off as she broke down in tears while Gorka comforted her.

She continued: “I think even you say I’m a different person from day one, right?”

Talking about her dad, Richard, she continued: “He just looked at me and said ‘You seem like you again’ and I’m certainly a different person than when we started.”

Joining former Strictly professional Janette Manrara on spin-off series, It Takes Two, Helen again reflected on what being on the series has meant to her.

Helen remarked: “I came into this and I underestimated it, because I thought, ‘It’s dancing and nice dresses and interesting people.’

“But it’s weird, it’s so much more than that. It makes you ask questions of yourself that you don’t ask.

“I’m a 39-year-old woman with three kids and you do your job and your relationships and your house and your career and all of that – and you don’t really just challenge yourself and find joy in yourself.

“So it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions that I didn’t expect.”

Responding, Janette commented: “This is not just a dance show everybody.”

Earlier this year, Helen announced her and her husband had separated.

In a statement, she confirmed at the time: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home.

“We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children.”

Shortly after their split was announced, it was confirmed Richie had started dating a mystery woman.

It was later revealed she was Stephanie Thirkill, 32, the daughter of the President of Leeds Rhinos, Andrew Thirkill.

He took to Instagram to share a picture of them on their holiday to Cornwall, with Stephanie calling it the “best weekend” in response.

In October, it was reported Richie and Stephanie are now expecting their first child together.

Strictly Come Dancing’s quarter-final will air on Friday rather than Saturday this week due to the World Cup coverage on the BBC.

The series will see the remaining six couples continuing to battle it out in an effort to make it to the final.

Love is Blind season 3 couple had ‘red flags’ early on, expert points out

Love is Blind sees 30 singletons put the theory to the test that personality and connection conquer physical attraction when it comes to falling in love. The Netflix series saw contestants get engaged without ever laying eyes on one another with their looks only revealed once they’ve popped the question. Most of the couples didn’t make it too far in the show but there were a handful who did end up walking down the aisle.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Love is Blind.Ballet dancer Colleen Reed and charter sales executive Matt Bolton caught each other’s ears while they were in the dating pods.

So much so, that Matt got down on one knee and she gleefully accepted the proposal.

Plenty of drama followed the pair once they met as Cole Barnett, who Colleen had dated in the pods, was still flirting with her and there were rows between the couple as a result.

Despite their issues, both Colleen and Matt said “I do” when it came to their wedding day, leaving Netflix viewers stunned.

Heart Bingo’s relationship expert and co-founder of So Syncd Louella Alderson has admitted she doesn’t think the Love is Blind stars are going to last as a married couple.

In fact, she told Express.co.uk how there were “red flags” in their romance from the get-go.

“Matt and Colleen saying yes at the altar was one of the most shocking outcomes of Love Is Blind season three”, she said.

“This relationship has seemed a bit off since the start and there have been a couple of red flags.

“Colleen said early in the pods to Cole that she didn’t want to get deep or emotional with anyone in a relationship or talk about serious things. It’s OK not to want to do this all the time.

“However, being vulnerable is essential for building connection and intimacy. Life is full of ups and downs, and you need to be able to speak to your partner about things. Being positive and happy all the time just isn’t realistic.

But it wasn’t just Colleen who Louella doesn’t believe is ready for marriage.

She continued: “From Matt’s side, it’s evident that he has trust issues. He has clearly been hurt during his previous engagement to his high school sweetheart and it doesn’t feel like he is ready for marriage.

“Matt’s main issue is jealousy. He wasn’t happy that Colleen went out with the girls, and he didn’t like that Cole fancied her.

“Matt was also quick to pack his bag at the first sign of conflict. It felt like he had some healing to do before jumping into marriage.”

Giving fans an update on their relationship at the Love is Blind reunion show, Colleen and Matt revealed they were still an item.

They weren’t living together but this was because they already had roommates and leases prior to filming the series.

This won’t keep them apart forever though as they were planning on moving in together in a matter of months.

Until then, Colleen and Matt confirmed they were spending almost every day together before they are able to make the move.

There is no need to be concerned regarding the reality show’s future, thankfully.

Netflix confirmed back in March 2022 that there would be a fourth season on the way.

What’s even more exciting is that filming has already been completed on the new episodes so subscribers can expect its return sometime next year.

Love is Blind is available to watch on Netflix.

Lisa and Jessica Origliasso go makeup free and wear tracksuits as the touch down in Sydney

They are usually glammed up in heavy makeup for their stage shows and on the red carpet.

But The Veronicas’ Lisa and Jessica Origliasso opted to go au natural for a flight to Sydney on Thursday.

The twins were makeup free as they touched down in tracksuits.

The sisters, 37, were rugged up against the cold in bulky jackets and sweatpants as they made their way through the terminal with a concierge who carted their luggage.

Attempting to evade unwanted attention, the pair covered their eyes with matching sunglasses despite being indoors.

Jessica rocked a black letterman jacket, featuring a yellow S on the front, and black sweatpants with a matching hoody beneath it all.

The musician finished the look with a trendy set of white platform sneakers, while carrying her hand luggage in a navy duffle bag.

She also flashed her new engagement ring from partner Alex Smith.

Meanwhile, Lisa opted for a pair of grey sweatpants and slippers beneath a black hoody and snow jacket.

Jessica was all smiles once they got outside and took in the overcast sky, but Lisa pulled her hood up to hide her face from the cameras.

The sighting comes as The Veronicas prepare to wave goodbye to Australia for good and make a permanent move to the United States.

After a productive writing session with John Feldmann and Blink 182’s Travis Baker in Los Angeles in July, Jessica and Lisa their sights set on international stardom.

‘The US is where we started it all and it’s always been a major focus for us,’ Jess told the Courier Mail earlier this month.

‘We are going to sign management over there as well and we feel the future for the Veronicas is over there.

‘We’re leaving Australia unfortunately, which is sad, but we’re really excited to be able to really connect with all of our fans more on the international scale.’

They said the US has always been in their future, but they were relived to be in Australia for the last few years to look after their mother who passed away last September from progressive supranuclear palsy.

Jessica Plummer is epitome of chic in a plunging black top and pin-striped trousers

Jessica Plummer cut a chic figure as she attended the Ralph’s Club by Ralph Lauren in London on Wednesday evening.

The former EastEnders star, 30, posed up a storm in a plunging black top which she teamed with pin-striped trousers.

Jessica’s stylish satin wrap style top accentuated her tiny waist and she appeared to go braless beneath it.

The stunner, who is known for playing Chantelle Atkins in the BBC soap opera, completed the look with a pair of pointed black heels.

Jessica accentuated her natural beauty with a light dusting of make-up and styled her hair in natural curls.

She joined pal and ballet dancer Reece Clark, 27, who cut a suave figure in a navy suit and sweater.

Back in February, The actress said she went through a period of mourning for her character Chantelle Atkins, who died at the hands of her domestic abuser husband Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) in September 2020.

Speaking on Netmums’ Sweat, Snot and Tears podcast she said: ‘It kind of felt like I’d just been given the news that a friend had become terminally ill or something.

‘It’s my character, I should know more than anybody that it’s not real. I felt like all of a sudden I had to mourn my character, say goodbye to my character.

‘I would get dressed in the morning in the months leading up to it and I would do things like put on Chantelle’s wedding ring and think oh my goodness is this the last time she is going to wear it sort of thing. It was weird.’

Jessica learned of her character’s journey in Christmas 2019, and thought the UK’s lockdown amid the Covid-19 crisis might have meant the storyline would have been prolonged, but she realised it was better the plot happened the way it did.

The actress – who went on to appear on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ late last year – admitted she felt her Walford departure would be ‘worth it’ if it results in one woman escaping an abusive relationship in real life.

She added: ‘I was sad to leave EastEnders, but if it means one woman escapes her domestic abusive relationship, it was worth it.’
