Eamonn Holmes hits out at ‘arrogant’ ex-colleagues Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield AGAIN

Eamonn Holmes has hit out at Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield again, accusing them both of ‘lying’ about not skipping the queue to see the Queen lying in state.

Holly and Philip were accused of jumping the queue at Westminster Hall in London last week while tens of thousands of mourners patiently waited for 12 hours at a time to pay their respects to Her Majesty.

The presenters later released a statement insisting they didn’t skip the queue and ‘respected’ the rules for the media, saying their visit was ‘strictly for reporting’.

Speaking on GB News Breakfast on Wednesday, Eamonn, 62, made no bones about the fact he didn’t believe his former colleagues and said they ‘messed up’.

Chatting with presenter Clare Muldoon, Eamonn said: ‘I’ll tell you what’s strategic. Why is Holly fighting to keep her job, according to The Sun, but Mr Phillip isn’t?

Clare replied: ‘Who knows? Twitter, last night, was saying she didn’t want to vacate her job at This Morning.

‘Who wouldn’t want to give up £600,000 a year and everything else that comes with it? I think the brand is very damaged. There has to be a change from the top down to the bottom on This Morning.’

Eamonn then read out the statement from Holly and Phillip, saying: ‘”We didn’t jump the queue, we were working.” Why was your boss there working with you?’

Referring to a photo of Holly wearing a mask inside Westminster Hall, Clare asked: ‘Why was she wearing a mask? Is she allergic to the public?’

Eamonn answred: ‘No, she does that. “Holly’s in tears”, but Holly’s always in tears. But wearing a mask – I think she’s quite fearful, germophobic.’

Eamonn’s co-presenter Isabel Webster said Holly and Philip fast-tracking was no different to what other broadcasters did while covering the Queen lying in state.

Eamonn was still unimpressed though and said: ‘They didn’t get a fast-track, they say. Lie. They say they didn’t pay their respects to the body. Lie.

‘What else were they there for? Let’s just tell the truth about the whole thing.

‘They messed up, and instead of being arrogant and saying, “We were there working as journalists”, why don’t they just say, “Yeah, we thought it would be a good idea”.’

Meanwhile, Eamon also made his feelings known on Twitter as he responded with praying hands emojis to a user who wrote: ‘They [Holly and Phillip] should be sacked, Eamonn and Ruth are far better than them idiots’.

It comes after Eamonn made another sly dig at Holly and Phillip after it was claimed they jumped the queue.

While ITV has strongly denied any wrongdoing on their and Holly and Phil’s part, Eamonn – who has made no secret of his ongoing feud with Phillip after he and his wife Ruth Langsford were axed from presenting This Morning on Fridays – has been unable to resist making light of their situation.

After making a savage dig at his former colleagues during an appearance on GB News this week, Eamonn took to Twitter to respond to a meme posted by a Twitter user of him and wife Ruth which referenced the queue-jumping saga.

In the image, Ruth, 62, is seen walking into a room in front of Eamonn with her hand over her mouth while Eamonn is laughing behind her.

The text on the picture read: ‘When you reach the front of the queue.’

Eamonn commented on the snap: ‘Ha ha …. Nice one,’ along with a thumbs-up emoji.

The Twitter user wrote along with their post: ‘I always preferred @EamonnHolmes and @RuthieeL #ThisMorning.’

This is not the first time Eamonn has addressed the controversy – he first made a savage dig at Holly and Phil during an appearance on GB News this week.

Eamonn’s GB News co-host Isabel introduced a guest, saying: ‘[They] suffered that queue and they were not of any insignificant age, we’ll be talking to them after this.’

Jumping at the opportunity to criticise Phil and Holly, Eamonn chimed in: ‘What, Holly and Phillip?’

Sources claimed today that a ‘distraught’ Holly will not quit This Morning over the ‘queue skipping row’ – as she and her ‘dumbstruck’ co-star Phillip battle an escalating public backlash for apparently ‘jumping the line’ to see the Queen lying in state at the Palace of Westminster – but show insiders ‘still fear what future holds’ for the ITV star.

The ‘devastated’ presenters – who are reportedly paid as much as £600,000 for hosting the popular daytime show from Mondays to Thursdays, and not Friday – have faced growing fury after images of them appearing to ‘skip the queue’ emerged on Friday while tens of thousands of mourners patiently waited for 12 hours at a time to pay their respects to Her Majesty.

Holly was reportedly in floods of tears as she and Phil both begged This Morning bosses to defend them from the ensuing storm – and were furious that ITV sat on their hands before issuing a short statement defending the pair on Saturday.

A source close to Holly told the MailOnline that they ‘spent most of today speaking to producers about queue-gate, they have assured her that viewer reaction has not been as bad as the social media fallout.

‘Many show insiders still fear what the future may hold but bosses seem to have calmed her down from the weekend where she was very upset about the whole thing. The row has only brought her close to Philip too.’

Speaking of the anger directed at Holly and Phil, the insider continued: ‘When they started being bombarded with messages via social media they were simply stunned. They’ve been left astonished at the way the whole thing has mushroomed.

‘That’s the main reason they wanted something to be said on Saturday [when This Morning issued a statement] and why they were insistent the show needed to address it head on on Tuesday.

‘Holly, in particular, has been left totally distraught by this. She’s been in floods of tears at some of the things she’s been called and of the behaviour she’s been accused of.

‘She’d never jump a queue or behave in that way and is heartbroken that people think she would.

‘Producers and staff at This Morning are rallying round. They are a close knit team but there is a concern at how it has impacted on Holly and has left many wondering if it’s pushed her close to the exit.’

Addressing the controversy on today’s episode of This Morning, Miss Willoughby and Mr Schofield doubled down on their claim that they had not skipped the queue, and instead had entered Westminster Hall in their capacity as broadcasters so they could display the solemn scenes to viewers who were unable to file past the coffin themselves.

MailOnline exclusively revealed today that panicking bosses at This Morning were worried that Holly was so distraught by ITV’s failure to act sooner that she might quit.

But it has now emerged that Holly will not be leaving, with a source telling The Sun: ‘She has been devastated by all the negative reaction after she turned up to work at Westminster Hall with Phil on Friday, but she’s not going to resign.

This Morning has been her life for more than a decade and the only way she’d consider quitting at this stage is if viewers really didn’t want her there.

‘She’s tried to give their side of the story on the show today and they’re both hoping to move on from it now. Bosses know Holly is still a hit with viewers and are counting on her working her magic on the show for a good while yet.’

More than 35,000 people have signed a petition demand that Holly and Phil be sacked from ITV.

An ITV source said: ‘We absolutely made it clear at the time that it was part of a broadcast due to air on Tuesday. This was communicated from the outset, and we gave this information immediately. There have been no crisis discussions or talks about Holly not being part of This Morning moving forward.’

MailOnline understands that the pair personally insisted that fiasco be addressed at the start of the show and believe ITV should not have waited so long to speak out on the matter – spending the weekend ‘locked in talks’ with TV producers.

A source revealed: ‘Philip and Holly are dumbstruck at the level of anger they’ve received in the past few days. They felt ITV should have made it clearer, right away, that it was part of a broadcast.’

In the first episode of the show since the alleged queue-jumping occurred, Holly and Phil strongly denied the claims, and said they had been in Westminster Hall to work.

They said: ‘Like hundreds of accredited broadcasters and journalists we were given official permission to access the hall.

‘It was strictly for the purpose of reporting on the event for millions of people in the UK who have not been able to visit Westminster in person.

‘The rules were that we would be quickly escorted around the edges to a platform at the back.

‘In contrast, those paying respect walked along a carpeted area beside the coffin and were given time to pause.

‘None of the broadcasters and journalists there took anyone’s place in the queue and no one filed past the Queen. We of course respected those rules.

‘However, we realise that it may have looked like something else, and therefore totally understand the reaction. Please know that we would never jump a queue.’

Girls Aloud to reunite as they fulfil late bandmate Sarah Harding’s dying wish to host charity gala

Girls Aloud will reunite at a charity gala this week to celebrate their late bandmate Sarah Harding after she died from cancer last year.

Singers Kimberley Walsh, 40, Cheryl Tweedy, 39, Nadine Coyle, 37, and Nicola Roberts, 36, will fulfil their friend’s dying wish to put on an event to raise funds for a study by Sarah’s oncologist to find out why many young women die from breast cancer.

The group have invited a number of stars to appear but they will not perform themselves, with Kimberley telling The Sun: ‘It doesn’t feel right without her.

‘We miss her so much. It’s just so hard to get your head around it — to realise that she’s gone.’

She added: ‘Before Sarah died, we chatted to her and she told us she wanted us to raise as much money as we could for charity.’

Cheryl, Nadine and Nicola reunited earlier this year for a charity walk Race for Life for Sarah in London’s Hyde Park.

While Kimberley was unable to attend the Cancer Research UK event as she was out of the country, she took part in the 5K walk remotely.

It comes after Cheryl said she wants to remember Sarah ‘before her illness’.

The pop star was left devastated when her former bandmate died of breast cancer in September 2021

While Cheryl says it’s ‘hard to shake’ memories of her friend being so unwell, the Fight for this Love hitmaker hopes she can eventually let the dark days ‘recede into the background’.

Cheryl wrote in an article for Vogue: ‘I would like to move forward by remembering Sarah before her illness.

‘Although memories of that time do exist and are hard to shake, they hold no weight against the light she so brightly shone in the years beforehand.

‘I have many, many more of those years to hold onto, and that is my intention. Her fun, bubbly side, her close-to-the-edge risky side, and her deeply soft and vulnerable side are some of the intricacies that made up Sarah in all of her glory.

‘In the last few days spent with her, we got to laugh, cry, reminisce, cook, watch spiritual programmes (our shared love) and pray together. Those are the parts I will keep in my heart as I let the illness recede into the background.’

Florence Pugh wears sheer sequinned co-ord with very daring neckline to Valentino dinner during PFW

Florence Pugh put on a glamorous display as she arrived for the Valentino dinner after their Spring/Summer 2023 show during Paris Fashion Week on Sunday.

The actress, 26, ensured she stood out from the crowd as she wore a sheer co-ord with a glitzy sequinned pattern emblazoned across it.

Screen star Florence showed off her toned stomach as she wore the cropped long-sleeved top which featured a daring plunging neckline.

Her matching skirt reached almost down to the ground, with her long legs visible through the material.

She wore a pair of high-heeled shoes to add a few inches to her stature and carried a white handbag with her.

The Falling star wore lashings of make-up to highlight her pretty features and went for a dramatic look with her eyeliner.

She styled her hair back off her face, going for a wet look for her shoulder-length blonde tresses.

Completing her look, Florence wore a pair of sparkling earrings while she wore a chain necklace with a pendant hanging at the front.

The British star looked nothing short of sensational as she attended the Valentino show earlier in the day.

She stepped out in a pink minidress that clung to her svelte figure and was decorated in a chain pattern.

Her legs were on full display in the high-necked number and Florence gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of £810 cream platform heels from Valentino.

Keeping the cold at bay, she wrapped up in a white cape coat that exuded elegance and sophistication.

Opting to keep her accessories simple, Florence only added a pair of gold hoop earrings and her silver septum piercing.

Her blonde tresses were straightened and styled in a side part, and she chose a smoky eyeshadow look with a slick of pink lipstick.

It comes after she attended the premiere of Don’t Worry Darling at Venice Film Festival at the start of September.

Leading star Florence has been at the centre of speculation about a reported on-set rift with director Olivia Wilde, with original co-star Shia LeBeouf adding to the drama.

Florence chose to limit her time spent for Don’t Worry Darling promotional activities and press calls, due to a busy schedule with other projects, but did appear at the Venice premiere.

But she skipped a press conference for the film in Italy because her flight allegedly would land too late for her to get there, though she was seen in Venice nearby enjoying an Aperol spritz while it was taking place.

Maisie Williams dons leather jacket and knee-high boots at Givenchy show during PFW

Maisie Williams put on an edgy display as she attended the Givenchy show during Paris Fashion Week on Sunday.

The actress, 25, joined the cream of the fashion crop at the event, her first public outing since she discussed her ‘traumatic’ relationship with her estranged father.

She teamed a cropped leather jacket, that featured a fur trimmed collar, with a pair of knee-high studded boots.

Maisie wore a raw hemmed black mini dress beneath the jacket and accessorised with a singular earring.

She rocked her cropped hair in a shade of charcoal with bleached eyebrows and a flick of black eyeliner to complete her look.

The outing is Maisie’s first since she broke down in tears as she emotionally discussed her ‘traumatic’ relationship with her father that ‘consumed’ her childhood.

The Game Of Thrones star candidly opened up about her upbringing before finding fame as Arya Stark on the HBO series at the age of 12 years old.

Maisie grew up in Somerset with her mother Hilary and her three siblings – James, Beth and Ted, and has spoken about her relationship with her estranged father for the first time.

Speaking about her childhood on The Diary Of An CEO podcast, Maisie told host Stephen Bartlett that her mother ‘escaped’ her father when she was four months old.

The actress spoke of the ‘traumatic’ things she experienced during her childhood, which led her to cutting off contact with her father when she was eight years old.

Maisie said she went through a lot of ‘pain’ and ‘fear’ in her early childhood but said she felt like she was ‘indoctrinated’ in a ‘child cult’ as she didn’t realise the behaviour she was exposed to was ‘wrong’.

Breaking down in tears, she said: ‘Well, I, as a young child before the age of, like, eight, had a traumatic relationship with my dad. And I don’t want to go into it too much because it affects my siblings and my whole family.

‘But, like, that really consumed a lot of my childhood. Ever since I can remember, I’ve really struggled sleeping.

‘I think a lot of the traumatic things that were happening, I didn’t realise they were wrong. But I knew – I would look around at other kids and be like, ‘Why don’t they seem to understand this pain, or dread, or fear? Where does the joy – when does that come for me?’

Maisie tearfully said she would feel an ‘impending sense of doom’ when she was a child and would feel that something bad would happen, but didn’t know how to feel happy.

Miss Universe Australia Olivia Molly Rogers appears to have SPLIT with husband Justin Mckeone

Olivia Molly Rogers appears to have split from her husband Justin Mckeone just six months after tying the knot.

The former Miss Universe Australia, 30, has quietly changed her Instagram handle back to her maiden name and unpinned wedding posts.

Just days ago, Olivia fuelled split whispers after she shared a cryptic post to her Instagram Stories addressing her recent silence on social media.

‘I know I’ve been quiet on here recently – thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and checked in,’ she began.

‘I’m not quite ready to share what’s been going on just yet, and I might still be quiet on here for the next little while.’

‘I’ll still be posting here and there, and so appreciate your support.’

Olivia and Justin were last photographed together in August in a series of loved-up holiday snaps from their time together in New York City.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Olivia and Justin for comment.

The couple married at a lavish ceremony in February after they were forced to delay their nuptials due to the pandemic.

Olivia looked radiant in the white, long-sleeved wedding gown by Marquise Bridal as the couple wed at the Terindah Estate on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula.

The date held special meaning for the model, as it’s the same day her grandparents wed in 1959.

Social media from guests at the wedding showed the ecstatic couple hoisted on friends’ shoulders as they partied into the night.

Olivia and Justin met at the start of 2018 before stepping out together at the Aussie Formula One Grand Prix.

Showbiz Eamonn Holmes hits out at 'arrogant' ex-colleagues Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield AGAIN
