Cricket WAG Sara Leonardi-McGrath has taken a swipe at Bernard Tomic's OnlyFans star girlfriend Vanessa Sierra for whinging about having to wash her own hair in hotel quarantine.
Vanessa, 25, had drawn the ire of tennis fans on Tuesday when she uploaded a video on YouTube complaining about not having access to a hairdresser. She also implied she didn't know how to wash her own hair, but later claimed she was only joking.
Reacting to the former Love Island star's admission on Wednesday, Sara, 37, had some choice words about the importance of basic personal hygiene.
Sara, who is married to cricket great Glenn McGrath, wrote on Instagram: 'Someone is complaining about quarantine because they don’t have access to hairdressers.
'And I'm so sorry I do feel for anyone going through quarantine, it's very tough... but hair washing is as basic as it gets.'
The fashion designer said Vanessa's complaints were so absurd they 'just made her laugh so much'.
'Like seriously, who can't wash their own hair? I can't even deal with you all, too funny... please someone tell me this is a joke or a misquote? Is this fake news?' she added.
Vanessa is staying with tennis bad boy Bernard in hotel quarantine after flying back from qualifiers in Doha before the Australian Open.
The couple are among 72 tennis stars and their entourages currently in hard hotel lockdown after they were deemed close contacts of six Covid-infected passengers on charter flights into Melbourne.
On Tuesday, Vanessa posted a video complaining about hotel quarantine food, lack of cleaners and not having access to a hairdresser.
'The worst part of quarantine is I don't wash my own hair. I've never washed my own hair, it's just not something that I do,' she said in the video.
'I normally have hairdressers do it twice a week for me.'
Despite claiming her comments were a joke, the reality star received enormous backlash from Australians for moaning while Bernard is still allowed to train for five hours a day - unlike returned citizens.
Vanessa responded to her critics with a social media post detailing the abuse she'd received for sharing what was supposed to be a lighthearted video.
'Never thought I’d wake up to 500 death threats and hate after poking fun at myself about my hair,' she wrote on Wednesday.
'It’s easy to take something out of context when you take two sentences out of a 10-minute vlog, and throw it in a negative news story on mainstream media amidst tennis player complaints about their mandatory quarantine,' she added.
Vanessa hit out at TV reports that painted an unflattering picture of her videos, which she believed prompted much of the backlash.
'Had these same people watched my vlog... I'm sure they would’ve seen my video as tongue in cheek and lighthearted, and found it somewhat interesting to have this preview of our lives,' she wrote.
She also claimed she was a 'real, honest and raw' person who 'shows things how they are'.
'People who know me know I’m not one to complain. And yes. I will make jokes to brighten a mentally challenging situation,' she said.
Vanessa also sparred with Instagram users leaving unkind comments on her videos about hotel quarantine.
'Complaining about hotel food now just to get on the news. Is there seriously anything you won’t do to get more people to find out who you are and then buy your OnlyFans,' one wrote.
Vanessa hit back: 'Stfu idiot I’ve been vlogging my daily life for over a year - not my fault Channel Seven decided to take one joking remark about my hair and twist the story.'
She also wrote on Instagram on Tuesday: 'If people actually WATCHED my vlog instead of going off a news story with incorrect facts they would see I was lighthearted about the entire thing and did not make any complaints.
'I simply did a daily vlog as I always do about my life and circumstances. I didn't realise how many idiots there are in this world.'
Elsewhere, Vanessa raged: 'Love how the ones hating on me about a comment in a vlog which was taken out of context by Channel Seven, are completely unaware I gave away tens of thousands of dollars to help people who were in need during Covid at Christmas.
'I did not ask a thing in return except for people to tell me their Christmas wishes so I could grant them and make their year a little brighter.'
Meanwhile, notoriously outspoken tennis star Nick Kyrgios blasted Vanessa on Twitter on Tuesday.
He tweeted: 'I don't mind Bernie but his Mrs obviously has no perspective, ridiculous scenes.'
Vanessa's tongue-in-cheek complaints also caught the attention of former Labor leader Bill Shorten, who labelled her a 'pampered sook'.
'Listen, I hadn't heard of this lady Vanessa,' he told Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon on the Today show on Tuesday.
'But I googled her and I'm not sure she gets Covid and how serious it is.'
Mr Shorten said while he could appreciate that being cooped up in a hotel room would be hard, certain players 'need to get a grip'.

Keylor Navas says Paris Saint-Germain's squad are keen to embrace Mauricio Pochettino's ideas after they moved top of Ligue 1.
Saturday night's 1-0 win at Angers took PSG two points clear but Lyon have the opportunity to respond when they host Metz on Sunday.
It was a third win in four matches for PSG under Pochettino though the former Tottenham boss stayed away after testing positive for Covid-19.
Goalkeeper Navas told on Canal+: 'We are trying to adapt to the ideas of the coach. We are very motivated.
'We try to have a good block and be good in transitions. We are managing to apply his ideas. Everything is fine and we have to keep working.'
PSG were far from their fluent best but Layvin Kurzawa's volley earned them three important points 20 minutes from time.
'Winning is the most important thing tonight because we knew how to suffer when it was necessary to do so,' Navas added.
'The team had the patience to gain the three points and this part of our game makes us stronger. They had good counter-attacks and my team-mates made an effort to be solid defensively.'
Pochettino's self-isolation means he will also be absent when PSG host Montpellier on Friday night as their fixture continue to come thick and fast.
The Argentine coach has already collected his first piece of silverware as manager after PSG's 2-1 win over Marseille in the Trophee des Champions final last Wednesday.
