Ariel Pink is facing the consequences of his actions after attending a pro-Trump rally earlier this month in Washington DC, which turned into a riot on the Capitol.
The little-known indie musician claims he'll be 'destitute and on the street' after his label dropped him for his involvement.
He shared his side of the story Thursday, as he appeared on Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight, where he discussed being 'stripped of his livelihood' and blamed 'cancel culture' for losing his record deal.
The 42-year-old said in response to Carlson, who called him 'a recording artist who can't record': 'I can't tour either at this point. So it pretty much leaves me destitute and on the street. I'm sort of overwhelmed right now and I don't know exactly what to do.'
It comes after his former label Mexican Summer cited 'recent events' in dropping Pink from their roster after three years, although they'd reportedly been pressured to do so for years, amid issues of homophobia and other issues with his behavior.
When asked why he was 'taking a huge risk' with appearing on Carlson's show, he said: 'I don't have any other recourse. What am I gonna do? Am I gonna be able to get my statement out in magazines?
'Right now the narrative is being pushed, and there's not very many people that are gonna let a counter-narrative enter into the fold. I mean there's no nuance… I don't know, man. I don't know what I’m gonna do. I had no choice. There's nothing else for me to do. I can't even afford my lawyer right now.'
'When did you find out that your career had been destroyed?' Carlson asked, to which Pink responded: 'Two days later.'
He added: 'My label had written to inform me that they were getting a lot of heat and a lot of backlash for supporting me, and they reassured me that they were not gonna drop me.'
The Ku Klux Glam artist explained: 'I didn't make any apologies. I felt like I hadn't done anything. But these articles obviously placed me at the siege, which I was not at. And of course I don't advocate for violence at all… I was there for a peaceful rally. That's all it was to me.
'But there was no fact checking or anything like that (as) 130 articles went out in the course of 24 hours. And the backlash was just… they succumbed to cancel culture. 24 hours later they wrote back; they texted me telling me that they were going to go public and drop me at that point.'
Although the January 6 rally and subsequent riot were sparked in attempt to delegitimize President-Elect Joe Biden's win, Pink played devil's advocate.
He stated: 'I think there's been a very big effort to unseat the president, or at least not let him have four more years — which I think is fair. He lost, and I think he lost fairly. I'm not disputing anything.
'Biden is perfectly fine with me as president. But I think that they're still scared of something like that. It seems like they're sore winners at this point. And people seem to want to kick me down as well, much like they have Trump. Kick us down when we're down.'
It contradicts what he said last month on the podcast Wrong Opinion, claiming Democrats 'did cheat. They've been on the path toward acquiring these Dominion systems… in some sort of collaboration with China.'
'I'm so gay for Trump, I would let him f*** me in the butt,' he concluded, which was not his first instance of homophobia, previously comparing gay marriage to pedophilia and necrophilia.
The end of his record deal also comes amid a legal battle with ex-girlfriend Charlotte Ercoli Coe, in which they've accused each other of harassment.
According to Pitchfork, Coe acknowledged in court documents that she complained about Pink to Mexican Summer last year, after learning the label 'was adopting a zero tolerance policy toward abuse and harassment.'

Azealia Banks is now claiming that she plans to make earrings out of her dead cat Lucifer's jaw bones, after digging up the deceased pet in a horrifying video earlier this week.
On Thursday, the troubled rapper showed off the feline cartilage, explaining: 'After the peroxide bath, here is Lucifer's jaw,' while posing with them as earrings.
'Titanium cat jaw earcuffs with a slick arianny full lacewig pony... That's fashion,' she added.
The 212 performer posted on Instagram Stories after she shared- and deleted - a disturbing set of clips on Tuesday in which she and another person exhumed the bagged remains of her pet cat who died three months ago.
Insisting she hadn't gone on to eat the dead cat's remains, Azealia has also labelled her critics 'racist,' adding: 'this is very un-black lives matter of you all.'
'Why do you think I would eat a dead cat when I can barely eat a dead cow. It's called taxidermy…' she fumed in a series of posts on Wednesday.
'Plenty of hunters with preserved deer heads hanging off their wall. Darlings… You guys are being racist and this is very un-black lives matter of you all.'
Azealia went on: 'The cat's head is soaking in peroxide to fully clean him, then I'm taking him to a jewelry shop to have it gilded.
'Lucifer was an icon. He deserves to be preserved. You girls are not tough like me. You may indeed, kiss my witchy a**'
Banks would have to get gold leaf that she would then have to lightly paint over the skull if she wanted to properly gild the item. Some jewelry and art stores do provide the service but it is unclear whether Azealia will get the cat skull gilded in Florida or California.
Azealia took to Instagram on Tuesday showing viewers an altar she had put together after previously posting the gruesome clip that appeared to show her digging up her dead pet cat and boiling it.
In the Instagram Stories clip, the 29-year-old artist posted a collection of items that included what was presumably the cat's skull; a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne, a bottle of Chanel No. 5 perfume, a $100 bill and a crucifix in a pink pot.
The New York City native captioned the clip to more than 687,000 followers, 'The move is booked. We're officially out this b****.
The 212 performer sparked a wave of criticsim with her original video showing the cat being dug up by the star and her friend. The footage has since been deleted.
'A lot of you guys don't know, Lucifer the cat died three months ago, and we had to put him in the ground, and we're digging him up for the very first time,' the Liquorice artist said in the clip. 'She's coming back to life c****.'
DailyMail.com has reached out to Banks' representatives for comment.
The first video shows her using her hands to claw in the soil to dig something up before pulling a large white bag out of the soil.
She could be heard scatting before proudly declaring: 'The cat... is in the bag.'
Banks captioned the post: 'Lucifer 2009-2020. My Dear kitty. Thank you for everything. A legend. An icon. Forever a serval serve.'
The next video is even more grotesque as it shows her stirring a boiling pot of contents including what looked like a skull which she captioned 'She's ready' before also deleting it.
Past references in media to her cat Lucifer include an XXL piece from July 2017 in which she was reported to have 'fled to Montreal in 2011' amid a time she was 'facing eviction with her cat Lucifer' at her home in New York City.
Her name quickly began trending on Twitter on Tuesday morning as thousands reacted to social media posts with memes.
The posts come amid a report from the New York Post that her home in Woodland Hills, California was sold as she is about to make the move to Miami.
Her 2,348-square-foot LA house sold in a non-judicial foreclosure for $845,000 to an unknown buyer in November, according to a 'bankruptcy sale' listing which was posted onto Realtor.com.
She has previously admitted to being a 'witch' and revealed in 2015 that her interest in magic came from her mother.
'My mother practiced white table magic. Prayers to the ancestors and praying to saints and praying for all kind of protection' she told Broadly Vice.
In another tweet, she attempted to explain her actions by writing: 'Black people are naturally born SEERS, DIVINERS, WITCHES AND WIZARDS. we have REAL supernatural powers, and the sooner we ALL learn to cultivate them and access them, the sooner we can REALLY fix s***.
This is also not the first time Azealia has been criticized for her alleged treatment of animals. In December 2016 she shared a bizarre Instagram video showing herself cleaning out a cupboard after three years of apparently sacrificing chickens.
The video starts with Azaelia looking ready to do some DIY, telling fans: 'The amount of c**p that's about to come off my floor right now guys. Oh My God.'
However, it soon emerges that this is no ordinary cleaning job with the camera panning to a small closet covered with the remains of feathers and blood.
'Guys, you know, I've got to scrape all this 's***' up,' she declares, as blood can be seen sprayed all over the walls.
It is not known exactly why the rapper has been sacrificing the birds, but she claims on the video that it is 'three years of brujeria,' which is the Spanish word for witchcraft.
'I've got my sandblaster, my goggles...it's about to go down,' she says, protective eyewear perched on her nose. 'Real witches do real things.'
The star can then be seen brandishing her sandblaster to scrape an array of feathers off the closet floor.
Banks also famously got into a heated back-and-forth on social media with artist Sia who criticized her over the post.
Sia, now 45, wrote: 'sacrificing animals for your gain is the wackest s*** I've ever heard. Get ahead by being awesome, kind and working hard.'
Responding to the remarks, Azealia raged: 'And your ugly pasty dry white lady winter skin face is the ugliest fave (sic) I've ever seen that must be why you hide it all the time.
'HAVE SOME F*****G RESPECT FOR MY F*****G TRADITIONAL AFRICAN RELIGION YOU POMPOUS WHITE B*TCH'
She followed the post up with another where she offered to produce an ointment for the singer's 'chapped face', before declaring 'this is your first warning'.
The posts were deleted at the time and replaced with a screen grab of the message 'Stop apologizing. No more explanations.'
In another bizarre online rant, in May last year Banks claimed she spent a weekend at Elon Musk's home while waiting to work with his girlfriend Grimes in a collaboration that never happened.
The controversial rapper claimed Musk was freaking out about having claimed in a tweet last week that he'd already secured funding to take Tesla private. Musk later insisted he's never met the rapper.
But Banks claimed in a series of Instagram story posts that Musk had taken acid before he sent that tweet.
'They bring me out there on the premise that we would hang and make music,' Banks said. 'But his dumb**s kept tweeting and tucked his d**k in between his a** cheeks once s**t hit the fan.'
'I saw him in the kitchen tucking his tail in between his legs scrounging for investors to cover his ass after that tweet,' she said of Musk over the weekend. 'He was stressed and red in the face.'
'I waited around all weekend while Grimes coddled her boyfriend for being too stupid to know not to go on Twitter while on acid,' she added on Instagram.
In subsequent posts, Banks even suggested that the couple may have invited her to their home for 'some weird threesome sex s**t to begin with.'
She also went on a vicious rant about Grimes, who she branded an 'idiot, Musk who she called a 'beta male' and branded them both 'crackhead' in a rambling attack.
A rep for Musk's dismissed Banks' claims as 'absolute nonsense.'
They would not confirm whether or not Banks had spent the weekend at one of his homes.
But the representative denied that Musk had ever met the rapper.
